Getting Started with FlyerWall in Your Neighborhood

New to FlyerWall? Here's everything you need to go from zero to your first flyer in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Find Your Community

When you visit FlyerWall, we detect your approximate location and show you nearby communities. You can also:

Browse the map — explore communities around the world on our interactive map
Search by name — looking for "Amsterdam" or "Cologne"? Just type it in
Explore interest groups — love vinyl records or board games? We have communities for that too

Click on any community to see its flyer wall — all the active listings from people near you.

Step 2: Browse What's Available

Each community has its own wall of flyers organized by category:

🏠 Home & Garden — furniture, appliances, tools
👶 Kids & Baby — clothes, toys, strollers
🚗 Vehicles — cars, bicycles, scooters
💻 Electronics — phones, laptops, cameras
🎵 Hobbies — instruments, collectibles, sports gear
And many more...

Switch between grid and list views to find what works for you. Auctions are marked with a special badge and show a live countdown.

Step 3: Create Your Account

To post flyers or bid on auctions, you'll need an account. Sign up takes seconds:

Click Sign In in the top right
Enter your email
Confirm via the magic link sent to your inbox
Done — no password required

Step 4: Post Your First Flyer

Ready to sell or give away something?

Go to Dashboard → Create Flyer
Choose your community and category
Add a title, description, and photos
Set a price (or mark it as "Free" or "Negotiable")
Optionally enable Auction mode to start competitive bidding
Hit Post

Your flyer appears instantly on your community's wall.

Step 5: Engage

Watch auctions you're interested in to get notifications
Place bids on auctions to compete for items you want
Message sellers through the deal system after winning an auction
Confirm deals when exchanges are complete

Tips for New Users

Use good photos. Listings with clear, well-lit photos get 3x more attention.
Be honest about condition. Describe any flaws. Trust is the currency of community commerce.
Price it right. Check what similar items are listed for. Slightly below market gets faster results.
Choose the right community. Post in the most specific community that applies. "Berlin Kreuzberg" beats "Berlin" which beats "Germany."

Posting flyers is free. Browsing is free. Bidding is free. The only cost is a small success fee for sellers when an auction sale is completed. That's it.
